“myunexcusedlife” explained

We all make decisions in our lives, decisions that are personal, and not everyone is going to agree with them.

I am constantly told “that’s what you get” for certain decisions in MY life.  We all tend to tell one another that on occasion.  And if we are not saying it, we are certainly thinking it.

I’m not going to excuse those decisions.  I am a single mom with six kids.  How?  Why?  The answer is because.

And the same answer applies to every decision that I make.

So this blog is about me no longer making excuses for my life.  It is what it is, and it is that way for a purpose.  With a meaning.

If you have something that you would like to share, feel free to send it to me and I will put it up.

I’d love to hear what you are not excusing in YOUR life.

In the meantime, here is a poem that was recently published in an anthology by Scripting Change, the issue is called “Breaking Free”.  You can order your own copy here and help support this year’s cause—victims of domestic violence.

Send something of yours along.  My email address is celenam2010@yahoo.com

I hope to hear from you.  Enjoy my poem.

As I move about this space, in this time,
in my part of this world that belongs to me,
on this day
I offer no excuse.

As I attempt my daily tasks, do my deeds,
walk in the where I need to be,
on this day
I offer no excuse.

As I send my children off into the air,
to do their work, share their lives and think their thoughts,
on this day
I offer no excuse.

As I dream my wants, aspire to my purpose,
write my words and share my soul,
on this day
I offer no excuse.

and with respect,
on this day
I offer no excuse.
